This evening I was looking at the beautifull Dutch sunset and day dreaming about several things. And than a question popped-up.
When is an idea a good idea?
Ted.com has the slogan: Ideas worth spreading
It means that the idea's they show are scaleable.
When you look at Vincent van Gogh you see that his idea seems to be a good idea 80 years later.
What do you think. When is an idea a good idea?

Creating flow for Cornelis – Superstar – de Maijer
In a few days growing from never thought of it to I really like it. That's whats happening here in the Netherlands.
Talking with Cornelis last few weeks ago, he got more and more attracted to a dutch hashtag #durftevragen (deartoask). It's a place on twitter where you can ask anything and you will recieve an answer at random. Very polupar...
Meanwhile I heard about this well-buzzed annual seminar here in Holland, special for small business owners - connected the two thoughts. And nominated him for Dutch Social Media Star competition.
And now I hope something beautifull happens. I love creating flow and sharing is powerfull.
We have 104 votes now, but we need more to stay ahead. So please join the group or touch his heart ...
On june 9th at midday the voting is closed.
Cornelis did get 125 votes, a good score!!!

100 votes needed: I want to see Cornelis de Maijer smile from ear-to-ear ;-)
In the netherlands a seminar called Social Media Event will be organized about how to get ciënts by using social media.
People who are seen as social media frontrunners in the Netherlands do not really get involved in worldwide networking like Ecademy. So the blogging here is not seen bij the "general online Dutchman".
To build a bridge and improve involvement I nominated Cornelis de Maijer as the most succesfull user of social media to get cliënts. With his support and online he builds a great company Flaka cruising.
When Cornelis wins, we all win by more involvement
So give Cornelis your vote and deliver a BIG SMILE on his face

Creating Flow by following your energy
Defining your core process.
Follow the energy!

Mijn eerste twee tweets:

Living now, building on the future so people get to know you from the past
I was thinking about the next thing:
Living now, building on the future so people get to know you from the past
In the past, I forgot to live and be in the now. Ecademy is future oriëntated and having dialogue now.
How is your balance?
living in the present - building your future - listen to the past
When you communicate it is wise to reconsider the balance.

How do you keep conversation going?
Today I realized the way I like to keep conversation going on this Ecademy blog, is most essential in all communication I have. Let me explain:
My first blogposting was about having a project realized (see here). Not really an invite to start a dialogue
During serveral blogpostings last year I learned to level with the readers here on Ecademy and watched how top-bloggers kept conversation going. Slowly I felt more comfortable and it get easier to post and just see what happens, without expectations...
I adapt this learned way of dialogue with family and clients, and it is really improving: playing with views on the conversation to stay in contact, not expecting anything. My intention is to listen well and react on others reaction, but sometimes I still get "pushy" and.... conversation stops.
Stapping back helps, still learning

Your energy versus financial accountability
After my reaction on Marco's blog about "being happy with yourself" / having a healthy self-image I came up with an subject as a designer: Is my creative process in line with financial responsability?
Five years ago I decided to start my own one-person-designcompany. Not for the money but to get closer to the costumer, talk and deliberate directly, inspire with possibilities instantly and most important: keep energy flowing.
Ten years before, I worked for several companies at the creation-department where accountability - the money - plays a central role. And I learned to work with eliminating risks, giving the financially proved solution for cliënts. But after ten years it felt really empty and down. Strange, because I was "making" things, that's the most popular position in the company!
